Nature School for Grownups

what is nature school for grownups

Nature School for Grownups is a series of small, outdoor sessions designed to help adults build a more confident, practical relationship with the natural world.

This is not a lecture or a survival course.

It’s a guided, hands-on experience where you learn by doing — alongside a small group.

In a typical session, you might:

take part in a playful nature-based game (no awkwardness, no performance)

learn new bushcraft skills such as foraging, shelter-building or fire-making (to name a few)

try a practical skill such as making tea, cordage, or a simple preparation

spend time outdoors in a relaxed, welcoming environment

Sessions are beginner-friendly and paced gently. You’re free to engage as much or as little as you like.

Some people come to learn practical skills.
Some come to spend time outside.
Some come to meet others in a different kind of setting.

Most come for a mix of all three.

I wasn’t expecting to learn so much — it was fun, hands-on, and really engaging.

what can I expect?

Each session is a mix of:

• Small group sizes
• 2-hour sessions outdoors
• All activities guided step-by-step

• A mix of learning, doing and being outside

A really lovely balance of activities — playful, practical, and calming. I felt more at ease and connected by the end.

is this for you?

This is a good fit if you:

• Are curious about bushcraft but don’t know where to start
• Want to feel more comfortable outdoors
• enjoy learning in a hands-on, relaxed way

• Are looking for a small, welcoming group environment.

I didn’t expect to enjoy spending time with strangers this much. I left feeling relaxed, connected, and genuinely happy.

The best way to experience Nature School is through the full Spring Series.

Over 4 sessions, you’ll

• Reconnect with nature

• Learn how to identify and work with seasonal plants

• Build practical skills you can actually use

• All while enjoying playful, low-pressure time outdoors with a small group

Each session builds on the last, and by the end you’ll have created your own personal plant journal, along with the confidence to recognize and use a handful of spring plants in your everyday life.

👉 Join the full series (£56) to get the most out of the experience and guarantee your place across all 4 sessions.

Single sessions (£15) are available, but are best suited if you’re just trying it out.

🚨⚠️IMPORTANT: If booking a Spring Journey Pass (all 4 sessions), select 1 date only and purchase your Spring Journey Pass. This will sign you up for all 4 sessions. Do NOT purchase more than one Spring Journey Pass.🚨⚠️
