When this client first came to me, she was struggling with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) marked by anxiety, irritability, fatigue, and low mood during the two weeks before menstruation. We began by addressing hormonal balance, nervous system support, and liver health through herbal allies including Vitex (chaste tree berry), St John’s wort, milk thistle, and ashwagandha.
Over several months, her symptoms softened noticeably. Episodes of anxiety and irritability became shorter and more manageable, and she described feeling more “in control” rather than overwhelmed by emotion. With continued work, her PMDD phase reduced from nearly two weeks of distress to just a few days of mild mood shifts.
As we refined her formula—adjusting Vitex timing and adding nervines for stress—she also embraced creative routines like writing and time outdoors, which deepened the results. Today she reports more stable moods, lighter physical symptoms, and a renewed sense of balance and self-connection each month.
